N[o]va's WarCraft 3 Multiplayer Guide
At the start of a game, put 3 of of your workers in the gold mine right away. Build an Altar and a food source with the remaining two workers and train one more worker to go to a tree. Once you have enough money, build a barracks/crypt/Ancient of war. Keep building workers. Have about 5 workers going for gold then start building units for lumber. Your food source should be built so build another one if you are human, if not have your worker go to get lumber. Your altar should be built to so build your hero as soon as it is, as it will help you if you get harassed by an enemy player. (note: these strategies are for team games) As soon as you have enough resources, build more food. After that, make another Crypt/Barracks etc. Build a few units to attack. Make sure you have 30-40 food before you start pumping out units for your rush (or to creep and counter). Then build a graveyard/hunters hall/ war mill unless you already have if you were going fiends/rifles/hunts/headhunters for your rush or cc. Communicate with your team and rush when you have at least 5 or 6 units. If you are CCing, keep building units and make sure to upgrade your hall. If the rush fails, prepare for the other team to counter rush. This means build plenty of units. If they don't attack within 5 minutes, start teching to something more powerful. Discuss what everyone is getting amongst your teammates to make sure noone doubles up, making your teams forces very vulnerable. Try, if you can, to convince your teammates to have a wide variety of troops such as air, ground melee, anti air, casters, seige, etc. Do not wait to long to attack them because they will be building up forces and teching as well. The rest is pretty much up to you and your teammates. Home
